Mentor Overall Project Evaluation:

Mentor: I would say that the right hand sidearm shot is progressed to experience. You still have more time to work on the shot but extra practice never hurts anything. I would suggest playing wall-ball a couple of times a week along with essential shooting days.
Mentor Evaluation: I would say the Right hand traditional shot has progressed to the level of experienced. Although it is not mastered tremendous progress had been made with this shot.
Mentor Evaluation: Underhand shot looking pretty rusty right now. By the time you will have to focus on this shot for another sole week again you should have enough practice to be experienced at the end of your practice. All other shots looking like they're going to fully progress to experienced.
MENTOR EVALUATION: The new system is definitely working more efficiently than the old system we were using. Each week I am now able to work on all of my Shot forms rather than just one. Before I was able to work on the other shots although my practices were more centrally revolver around that specific shot. As for my shot itself it is getting exponentially better. Like I said lacrosse is easier to master than it is to learn. All it takes is patience to begin to get good at a sport.
MENTOR EVALUATION: The Left Hand Shot is more than experienced at this. As for right hand I definitely need more work. Although about half my shot shit not enough force is being applied upon the shots releasez progress is most definitely being made but there is still much more to do.
This is an overview of my overall shot progress. Me and my mentor will both give our personal outlooks on the current state of that specific shot form. Below is a look at the final product of all my shots: Left hand
TRAD. Mastered.- Fluent SIDEARM Fluent.-Exp. UNDERHAND Exp.-Exp. My Overview -Mentors Overview SCALE Unexperienced->Exp.->Fluent->Mastered My progress this week in my personal opinion was minimal, and my mentor agrees. Contrary to as stated in the curfew I will be dedicating the extra week I have for the first half of the project to the left hand underhand shot. I feel progress is much needed for this shot form rather than the traditional or Sidearm left hand shot.
This week I wrap up the Left Hand Sidearm Shot segment. Overall I have gotten fully comfortable with shooting this shot and am able to accurately preform the shot. The 5 shot tests this week will show you. Along with this there is a new informational section up in the informational video section relating to my overall progress with this shot and the previously practiced Traditional Left Hand shot. At the bottom of the five shot week is a weekly mentor evaluation. Enjoy! My mentor said that my shot is definitely looking more fluent and accurate, now I just have to practice and get consistent. The only way I can do that is continually practice.
Next week I will be putting in an additional week to the segment. The underhanded shot is supposedly the hardest to learn but if times need to be adjusted they will accordingly. Keep posted for further updates! |
Caleb WatsonI am a self motivated man who is very interested in LaCrosse. Prior Experience
Prior to this I have only been playing Lacrosse for 2 months and am highly unexperienced. About Lacrosse
In Lacrosse you have a stick you use to "shoot" the ball. There are thousands of in depth ways you can find ways to score. In this project my goal is to get fluent, consistent, and accurate with all 3 basic forms by the end of the 12 weeks. |
